Arrangement
between
the
Association
for
the
Advancement
of
Cost
Engineering
International
and
the
RICS
This
notice
is
written
to
provide
clarity
on
the
reciprocal
agreement
that
exists
between
the
Association
for
the
Advancement
of
Cost
Engineering
International
(AACE)
and
the
Royal
Institution
of
Chartered
Surveyors.
Members
of
the
AACE
in
the
capacity
of
Certified
Cost
Consultant
(CCC)
and
Certified
Cost
Engineer
(CCE)
are
recognised
by
the
RICS.
This
recognition
entitles
CCC
and
CCE
members
of
the
AACE
to
approach
the
RICS
to
be
considered
for
MRICS
membership.
It
is
important
to
note
that
it
does
not
guarantee
direct
entry
membership.
The
process
is
detailed
below.
•
A
candidate
that
has
CCC
or
CCE
certification
combined
with
in
excess
of
eight
years
relevant
work
experience
may
approach
the
institution
for
membership
of
the
RICS.
•
The
RICS,
upon
receiving
proof
of
certification
will
send
the
applicant
a
Resume
template
to
be
completed
highlighting
relevant
work
experience
and
qualifications.
•
When
completed
and
returned
this
resume
will
be
passed
to
a
RICS
vetting
panel
and
a
decision
on
whether
the
applicant
can
come
for
interview
will
be
taken.
•
If
a
candidate
is
deemed
suitable
they
will
be
invited
for
an
interview.
If
this
is
successful
and
RICS
membership
fees
paid
then
membership
to
the
RICS
is
achieved.
•
It
is
important
to
note
that
holding
the
qualification
of
CCC
/
CCE
does
not
entitle
an
individual
to
enter
the
Institution
directly.
•
For
candidates
without
an
accredited
degree
and
the
desire
to
become
a
Chartered
Surveyor
the
MENEA
region
of
the
RICS
would
still
suggest
the
route
of
adaptation
1
over
others.

•
The
decision
of
the
Resume
vetting
panel
is
Final |
